Organic Solar Cell Research Laboratory
Set up on 86 m², this laboratory can complete the production and characterization of organic solar cells from start to finish, aiming to improve the efficiency and stability of organic solar cells through both novel materials and innovations in device architecture.
The lab has three glovebox systems in total, two of them interconnected and one independent. The interconnected gloveboxes contain a scale, a hotplate stirrer, a spin coater used for coating the active and interlayers, and a metal evaporator used for the top contact metals, as well as a solar simulator for current–voltage measurements of organic solar cells. The independent, third glovebox houses organic evaporation and metal evaporation systems.
Outside the glovebox systems, the lab has a spin coater for water-based materials, an oxygen plasma system, and an EQE measurement set used to measure the external quantum efficiency of the organic solar cells produced.
