ODTÜ-GÜNAM Officially Joins the PeCATHS Project

27 August 2026

ODTÜ-GÜNAM has officially joined PeCATHS – Photo-Electrocatalytic Routes for Long-Term Sustainable Hydrogen Storage through the Horizon Europe Hop-on Facility.

PeCATHS aims to develop an innovative long-term energy storage system that enables the direct transfer of hydrogen from biomass to Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHCs), without the need for hydrogen gas production, while simultaneously generating value-added chemicals.

By joining the PeCATHS consortium, ODTÜ-GÜNAM will contribute to international research and innovation efforts advancing sustainable hydrogen storage technologies.
